I’m Michael Frazier
I’m a Product Design Leader (and IC) with 15+ years of experience in FinTech, Health & Wellness, B2B, B2C and SaaS. I have expertise in design leadership, design systems, design ops, end-to-end product design, user research, and cross-functional collaboration. Most recently I was an Associate Director of Product Design, where I led a team to deliver measurable impact including app store rating lifts from 2.0 to 4.5+, UEQ-S elevation from average to excellent, 600% end user deposit growth. I drove AI team enablement using tools such as Claude and Figma Make to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and documentation while maintaining high craft and usability standards. I have been responsible for hiring, mentoring and measuring impact of a design organization. I have also demonstrated years of individual contributor work - building pretty some exciting products.

Led design vision and evolution of a white-labeled mobile banking product serving millions of users worldwide. Improved credit union app store ratings from 2.0 to 4.5+ stars through continuous user feedback loops and iterative design in a high-trust financial environment.
Directed Flutter replatforming redesign and delivered 30+ feature designs, elevating product UEQ-S score from average to excellent based on customer, client, and user feedback.
Co-created metrics and frameworks to measure design impact across the organization. The model was adopted product-wide and drove quarterly design feedback scores to consistent A's and B's, influencing roadmap priorities and team goals.
Recruited, hired, and mentored designers. Facilitated workshops and design studios that built team confidence and established a feedback culture later adopted more broadly across product teams.

Designed and shipped 10+ products for concurrent clients; the work supported successful VC fundraising rounds.
Owned end-to-end discovery through hi-fi prototyping for a fitness mobile app and a travel app, delivering production-ready Figma prototypes.

Led design for a SaaS sales automation platform (CLX), including the design system, end-product experiences, and supporting marketing materials as an in-house agency.
Defined brand and creative vision across product and marketing; earned multiple 2015 HERMES Platinum & Gold awards for branding, UX, video, and website campaign
Worked closely with executive, product/ux and development team members on our product pipeline which lead to a successful rollout of multiple products in a product family

Senior UX & Visual Designer
GUMIYO MOBILE (OCTOBER 2010 - APRIL 2013)
Gumiyo mobile was absorbed in April of 2013 by COLONY LOGIC, where I continued to act as a visual experience design lead. Prior to the acquisition, I provided creative direction for website and mobile application design. Other duties included actual HTML/CSS build outs of websites optimized for desktop, tablet and mobile phones. I also assisted on integration of social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.
Led creative direction and UX/UI for mobile and web properties including Toyota Owner’s iOS app, LA Times & Chicago Tribune iPad apps, RE/MAX and New York Daily News portals, ALM / New York Law Journal, Shell/Excentus, and multiple Tribune Company and BuzzMedia mobile properties.
